about

I wrote this song while we were recording the EP and decided to tack it on to the end as a very big thank you to my loving, wonderful, supportive mother, whom I love very much.

lyrics

Don't be ashamed to cry, if you want to
I found a note I wrote to my mother
In the pocket of her coat where I'd left it years before
It said "cry for me while you're gone,
Like you know I'll cry for you.
And wear your gloves, I heard it gets cold there.
The best gift I got was coming home to you.

"Attached is a poem that I wrote but it aint very good.
It'll make us some money some day I believe that it could
Pick us up, get us out of this one horse town
When I get big for you."

So don't be ashamed to cry when you see me.
Cause you know I'm crying too.
